100 companies already signed up for £20m Accelerate Growth Programme

100 companies have already signed up to the £20 million Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme, which was unveiled back in June.

The programme, funded by the Welsh Government and the European Regional Development Fund, aims to drive forward rapid growth for businesses and entrepreneurs in Wales.

It’s being delivered on behalf of Business Wales by the Execrator Consortium and recently secured £20 million. Entrepreneurial coaching firms Winning Pitch and Impact Innovation are involved here, with crowdfunding platform Seedrs also offering backing.

Steve Young, development director of the Excelerator Consortium, said: “To be selected by the Welsh Government to deliver this important programme was exciting, and to then achieve 100 quality clients and high-growth potential firms registrations in the first few months of the contract is outstanding.”

“The Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme offers a real, tangible answer to the question of how we boost the Welsh economy, and will bring us closer in line to the rest of the UK.

“The programme aligns perfectly with the ethos of Winning Pitch, where we nurture and guide Welsh companies who have the ability to see rapid growth across many different sectors.”

“We have worked with the Welsh Government before as part of their High Potential Starts Programme where we were responsible for 80% of the total output. We are excited by the prospect of making a progressive and lasting impact on the Welsh economy.”
