Applications open for Natwest’s entrepreneur accelerator
Banking giant Natwest is on the lookout for innovative entrepreneurs and businesses from across Wales to take part in its accelerator programme.
The organisation provides a range of accelerator, pre-acclerator and fintech schemes for companies of any size and background. It gives them the tools and contacts needed to start, scale and succeed.
These are offered through the bank’s twelve innovation hubs, which are spread across the country. The Wales centre is located at Natwest’s offices in Central Square, Cardiff.
Successful participants are offered access to expert coaching, high-tech working environments, digital learning and networks to help them hone their products and expand into new markets.
Lasting from eight weeks to six months, the schemes are run by a team of expert coaches who expose the entrepreneurs to ongoing insight, support and challenge. They’re also free, and Natwest doesn’t take equity in the businesses.
Rony Seamons, entrepreneur acceleration manager at Natwest, said this is a unique opportunity for Welsh businesses to get their name out there and leverage the support of the bank.
“The NatWest accelerator is a fantastic supportive programme designed to help you grow and scale your business. We’re incredibly passionate about the work we do and the impact we have is huge,” he told Tech Dragons.
“You get a personal one-to-one coach, free legal, tech and accountancy consultations, business workshops, and of course the full support of the bank. And it doest cost you a penny! All we ask is full commitment to the programme and the rewards will be huge.”
Website Express, a Drupal software development and design agency, is one of the companies taking part on the scheme. It works with the likes of Cardiff University, the International Baccalaureate and Equiniti Group.
