Cardiff digital agency marks next stage of growth with new appointment

Station Rd, a digital communications agency based in Cardiff, has marked its next phase of growth with the appointment of a new senior employee.

Mike Palmer has joined the company as head of creative to lead brand strategy, creative and campaign activation. He’ll also oversee its growing creative team.

Over the past ten years, Palmer has worked with a range of national and international brands, including Mr Tom, NHS Wales, GoCompare and Sport Wales.

He joins the business at a crucial period of growth, with it achieving a turnover increase of 88 per cent between 2017/2018 and taking on Gov.uk as a new client.

Speaking of his appointment, Mike Palmer said: “I’ve worked with Station Rd. for a number of years and when the opportunity was presented to join as head of creative I couldn’t refuse.

“They work with some great brands, building strong long-term relationships, which demonstrates how much clients value what they do.  They operate with honesty and integrity and these are values that very much align with my ethos.

“I’m looking forward to being part of how Station Rd. evolves as an agency and working with some interesting brands and businesses.”

Founded in 2014 by accomplished marketing professionals Jason Stallard and Lyanna Tsakiris, the agency delivers strategic campaigns both regionally and nationally.

Lyanna Tsakiris, director of Station Rd, said: “Mike’s experience and creative skill set fit extremely well with our current team and client portfolio.

“We’ve developed a strong working relationship with him over the years and it was the natural choice to get him on board to head up our creative team.

“Our clients benefit from channel-neutral communications strategies that deliver commercial results, and having a strong creative lead to help plan and bring campaigns to life is key.

“Mike’s appointment is a significant milestone and investment for the business and we are looking forward to what’s next.”
