Station Road, a digital and technology marketing agency based in Cardiff, is on track to double its growth a year after launching.
The firm has seen profits grow by 250 per cent over the last year. It was set up in 2015 by Lyanna Tsakiris and Jay Stallard, who spent a number of years working in PR.
While Station Road is a full service marketing agency, it has a plethora of experience in working with some of Wales’s growing tech start-ups. These include Shake Locate, RateSwitch, Codez Academy and Nomensa.
As well as this, Lyanna and Jason have been helping Caerphilly innovation centre Welsh ICE run several training courses, such as the 5-9 club and GRIT training.
Despite only being a few months old, Station Road has been able to recruit several associates to support business expansion. Rachel Williams, a recent graduate from Cardiff University, has been employed to work on client accounts.
The 22 year-old from Ystrad Mynach has gained real life experience in a digital agency and has developed skills in areas like PR, marketing, copywriting and IT. Another marketing assistant, Owen Jandrell, has also been taken on.
Co-founder Lyanna said: “We are very proud of how far we’ve come since we established the business in 2014. Marketing and PR is our passion and after many years of working for other agencies. The time felt right to step out and set up on our own.
“We are also really pleased to have Rachel and Owen on board with us, and to be creating new employment opportunities for the wealth of creative talent coming out of Cardiff year on year.
“It’s been a great start to life in business for us, and one which gives us great optimism for the future too.”
The business was originally based at a start-up incubator before moving to Park Place in Cardiff. This, Lyanna explained, has been made possible thanks to increasing opportunities.
Jay said: “Our focus now is to continue growing the team and develop our bank of expertise in order to support our increasing client base.
“Station Rd is currently on track to recruit another member of staff by the end of the third quarter of 2016, which is very exciting for us.
“We are also looking to grow our client base not only in Wales but across the South and North of England and hopefully internationally by the end of the year.”
