Circle IT appoints new CEO and board members to accelerate growth

Circle IT has appointed a new CEO and board of directors in a bid to drive multi-million sales growth over the next three years.

The restructure has seen founder Roger Harry move from CEO to focus on strategy and alliances, with David Jones taking on the role and Ben Marnham joining as chairman.

According to the Cardiff-based firm, both David and Ben “bring a wealth of experience in leadership and advisory roles” and will help Roger drive revenues in excess of £30 million.

Roger Harry, former CEO of Circle IT, said: “This is the start of an exciting new phase for Circle IT. The past few years have seen us invest in both technology and headcount.

“These board appointments are pivotal to driving the business further. Both David and Ben bring complementary strategic and commercial approaches to build upon our business strategy and help drive Circle IT forward.”

Founded in 2002 by Roger and headquartered in Cardiff Gate Business Park, the business provides technical support, infrastructure, networking and strategic consultancy and currently employs 76 staff.

David Jones has held a range of senior management positions in the managed services sector. Most recently, he was CEO of Estee – which is now part of the Roc Technologies Group.

He said: “I’m delighted to be appointed to this role during an exciting and transformational period for Circle IT. We have seen the business develop significantly over the past few years.

We have a strong national portfolio across both the public and corporate sectors, with clients including UKTV, Cardiff and Vale College and Dundee University.

“It is my job to now work with the highly talented team we have within the business and build the momentum to further drive our growth plans.”

Ben Marnham, who has worked in the technology industry for 25 years, added: “The growth that Roger and his team have achieved at Circle IT is extremely impressive. I am hugely excited to be joining as the business moves to the next phase of its journey.”
