Comparison Creator to power MoneySuperMarket gadget insurance service

Fintech giant MoneySuperMarket has selected Comparison Creator to power its gadget insurance service for customers.

The service allows consumers to compare multiple brands and review policies based on the cover provided, including accidental damage, multi-gadget cover and mechanical breakdown.

Having completed a period of partnership testing with Comparison Creator’s Protect Your Gadget, MoneySupermarket has awarded the firm a contract extension.

As part of this agreement, Protect Your Gadget will power a white label comparison service for mobile phone and gadget insurance. The service was launched by Cwmbran-based software firm Comparison Creator in 2017.

Steve Jones, CEO of Comparison Creator and Protect Your Gadget, said: “We are really pleased that MoneySuperMarket has chosen to partner withComparison Creator and provide a dedicated gadget insurance comparison service for its customers.

“We are really proud of the service we have built and being available through a comparison site such as MoneySuperMarket will be a huge boost to the business.

“Policies and prices can vary a lot depending on what the customer is insuring. By comparing our panel members, customers will get a clear view of what policy suits them best at what price.”

Steve added: “An important feature of our service is that we also use Defaqto star ratings for our comparison, which allows customers to compare the quality of the product and not just the price, we are the only company currently in the market who can do that.”

Rose Howarth, head of commercial and niche channels at MoneySuperMarket, said of the partnership: “The mobile phone insurance market is expected to grow substantially in the coming years, especially with gadgets and mobile phones now being an essential part of most people’s daily lives.

“In light of this, we are pleased to be partnering with Comparison Creator, powered by Protect Your Gadget on this new gadget insurance comparison service for our customers. Households will now be able to search the whole of market for a policy, while comparing price and features.”
