Digital Profile announces new features for freelancers

Digital Profile, a platform for creating resumes and finding relevant job opportunities, has announced a string of new features and capabilities.

The Cardiff-based company, which was launched by Welsh tech entrepreneur Dan Lewis in 2016, has made a number of improvements to help companies and professionals find each other.

Previously launched as a beta product, any professional can now sign up to the platform and make their profile public. Users can create a special URL and share it with potential clients.

Flexible in design and functionality, the platform is suitable for freelancers looking to take on new clients, as well as professionals who are seeking new opportunities.

As well as being able to promote their online CVs, users are also exposed to companies based on their skills, meaning they’re only offered relevant job possibilities.

Although the platform can be used by anyone, a bigger emphasis has been placed on self-employed professionals. Freelancers can now set day rates and create an online portfolio.

Dan Lewis, who founded the platform, told Tech Dragons: “Digital Profile is all about helping companies and professionals in the digital space find each other.

“Of course, because so many of us are freelance, it makes sense to roll out great tools to complement the job application features we already have.

“Professionals – whether freelance or not – can now make their Digital Profile public, and share that URL on their social accounts and with potential clients. We’ll show them to companies who search for their specific skills.

“To help make the right matches, freelancers can set day rate ranges, and the media uploader lets them show off their best work on their profile.”

The company may still be young, but it has plenty of exciting developments in the pipeline. Dan added: “We’re excited about the next phase of work.

“We’re developing social signals through selective social integration to deepen the quality of matchmaking, and we can’t wait to start rolling it out.

“In the meantime, our user base continues to grow, with high-quality digital professionals and excellent companies registering and finding each other every day.”
