Gwent landlord forum to tackle technology

The first Gwent Landlord Forum of 2018 will kick off on Tuesday 30th January at the Parkway Hotel in Llantarnam, Cwmbran – and it’ll tackle technology.
Sponsored by Rubin Lewis O’Brien and Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors, the free event is aimed at educating landlords from across Newport and Gwent.
Carly Tang, from accountancy software company Xero, will headline the event. She’s going to give an insight into how landlords can utilise the firm’s software.
Dan Allan, from proptech company Arthur, will also speak at the event. He’ll deliver a talk covering the benefits that property software can offer those with properties in the private rented sector.

Sam George, managing partner of law firm Rubin Lewis O’Brien, believes that technology is changing the business for landlords. He said it’s improving productivity in the sector.

“With the ever-changing landscape of the buy-to-let market it is vital for landlords to be aware of all technology that can assist them in being as efficient as possible,” he said.

“This is an opportunity to hear from the software experts about how you can use technology to your advantage in a sometimes-challenging industry.”

Ed Gooderham, director of Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors, is another big believer in property technology. He said the event will help landlords get the most out of platforms such as Xero.

“We look forward to the first forum of 2018. With many landlords running their portfolio like a business, it is only right they equip themselves with professional software that will help them run smoothly,” he said.

“Our main aim is to provide local landlords with as much information and support as possible, and from feedback we have received from our attendees we know that they really benefit from the events.”

The Gwent Landlord Forum will begin at 6pm and is due to finish by 8.30pm.
