IT support technician

The School of Healthcare Sciences is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated IT Support Technician. The role holder will provide computing hardware, software and application support to all School staff, and postgraduate students to include commissioning, administration, fault-finding, problem solving and training. The role holder will have the ability to affect repairs as appropriate to School computing equipment and arrange for warranty related problems to be dealt with through standard procedures. The role holder assists in managing and administering all School Network User accounts including file quota and network mail re-direction using IDMAN, administers and manages Guest Wifi and will maintain inventory records of all IT Equipment. Experience of employment in a higher education role is desirable.
The post is full-time (35 hours per week) and is open ended. Applications from individuals interested in a job share or part time position will be also be considered.
Salary range: £20,781- £24,775 per annum (Grade 4)
