With just a week to go till Welsh tech festival Digital 2015 takes place, Anthony Vanky – partner strategist at world-renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – has been confirmed as the conference’s second keynote speaker.

Vanky specialises in design, technology and urbanism and most recently played a pivotal role in the development of MIT’s SENSEable City Laboratory – a new research initiative that looks at the way communities design, understand and use cities.

He’ll be joined by additional keynote speaker, Ian Livingstone, who’s behind franchises such as Games Workshop and Fighting Fantasy.

Livingstone, dubbed the father of Tomb Raider, will debate the relationship between arts and sciences and how businesses and educators in the creative industries can ensure they’re at the forefront of digital change.

Event organisers have also confirmed Jonny Voon, lead technologist in internet technology at Innovate UK, which is one of the UK’s leading innovation agencies. It funds and supports ground-breaking businesses to accelerate sustainable economic growth.

Looking at how IoT, cyber security and cloud can help enable the UK achieve future economic, social and environmental success, Voon will give delegates snapshot of emerging trends and draw on his experience in developing funding programmes to aid businesses, educators and public sector organisations harness greater levels of innovation.
