New tech talent company launches in Cardiff

A new tech talent agency has launched in Cardiff in a bid to highlight the exciting job opportunities and training schemes on offer in the industry.
Talentbe is aimed at transforming the technology talent management service industry in the UK, and it has opened its first operation in the Welsh capital.
The company helps businesses find the best tech professionals by providing them with their own talent manager. Talentbe caters for short, medium and long-term recruitment strategies.
“By getting to know the culture and environment, understanding products and services, and living and breathing the values and vision, the Talentbe talent manager becomes fully armed to recruit the correct people for the business,” said the firm.
Over the past four months, Talentbe has been working with e-commerce company Tigerbay to look for suitable talent to fill jobs. In this time, the software business has made a string of hires.
Victoria Wood, founder of Talentbe, explained that she wants to help companies hire the best technology teams to accelerate business growth. She used to work in the HR sector.
“Making the transition from a recruitment agency to an IT solutions business in 2016, I quickly realised that there is a growing gap between agency offering and business needs,” she said.
“How we attract and retain talent is changing at a rapid pace and I believe now is the right time to challenge the historic target and commission operating model that exists within agency recruitment.
“Talentbe does just that, we have built a service that hands back control to the client, providing longevity and stability in their talent attraction strategy.”
With offices in Cardiff and London, Talentbe is targeting small and medium-sized businesses across the UK. The firm wants to revolutionise the human resources process.
Ceri Pritchard, head of services, added: “We started in recruitment because we are passionate about people and providing a quality service, that is why we are excited about getting Talentbe up and running.
“We have a vibrant and dynamic tech scene here in Cardiff and we want to support our city in becoming a centre for innovation, and a place where great talent gathers for years to come.”
