Newport entrepreneur launches digital CV service

Andy Stone, an entrepreneur based in Newport, has launched an online digital CV service in a bid to bring the recruitment process into the 21st century.

The product, called Digital CV, is a new service that’s been designed to give executives and other highly skilled business processionals a way to promote themselves online.

It provides people looking for new employment opportunities with the tools to develop their own website, which highlights their employment history, skills and profile.

As well as this, the platform incorporates a candidate’s personality to bring the CV to life. Andy believes that his new online platform makes it easier for people to promote their employment history.

Explaining the concept of his new business, he said: “A CV will always form a key part of the recruitment process but it’s often the part that people dread.

“For some people, the thought of pulling together your experience into a format that’s presentable and stands out from the crowd can be quite daunting and time consuming.

“How many of us have written in our CV that we are diligent, hardworking and like to socialise? I wanted to create a service which helped people put their own stamp on their CVs.

“One which helped them stand out from the crowd and take the stress out of creating a CV and helps candidates differentiate themselves in a busy marketplace.”

Andy, who is from South Wales, decided to create an easy-to-use online CV service after developing his own personal website and receiving a ton of lucrative job offers.

Andy added: “By creating an online presence to showcase your skills and expertise, you’re not taking an ad hoc approach. Once created, your website gives you a constant online presence which can be continually updated as your skills change or are improved.

“You control your website, you control your career. The more proactive you are, the more presence you will achieve.”
