Object Matrix scoops up another award
Cloud technology firm Object Matrix was recently named Object Storage Vendor of the Year at the Storage Awards following a year of growth.
Organised by Storage Magazine, the awards recognise outstanding products, services and people across the cloud industry. The ceremony took place in The Tower Hotel, London.
Based in Cardiff, Object Matrix has created a series of cloud and object storage solutions for the media and entertainment sectors. Its flagship product, MatrixStore, lets companies keep content secure.
The software also ensures easy access and discoverability, and supports hybrid cloud workflows, IMF workflows and artificial intelligence.
Nick Pearce-Tomenius, co-founder and sales director of Object Matrix, said: “After 15 years of developing, promoting and delivering object storage to global media organisations, recognition such as this is always extremely well received. We are very proud to have won the award and extremely grateful to everyone who voted for us.”
Its solutions have been adopted by a range of large media companies, including the likes of Sky, ITN, BT, NBC, Orange, The Guardian and the BBC.
Jonathan Morgan, co-founder and CEO, added: “The media industry has been evolving at a dramatic pace. Our customers are faced with providing more content than ever before to more platforms than ever before, as well as the need to monetise their archives.”
“As such, we place a great deal of importance on ensuring our solutions consistently meet those ever-evolving needs of our clients, making the archive discoverable and easy to monetise.”
In April, MatrixStore by Object Matrix was awarded the Storage category in the IABM Broadcast and Media awards.
