Sony UK TEC launches nationwide recruitment drive

Welsh electronics manufacturer Sony UK TEC has launched a nationwide recruitment drive as it looks to ramp up production and expand.

The Pencoed-based factory, which produces thousands of HD broadcast cameras for worldwide distribution, is searching for engineers ten engineers of all levels.

Having recently celebrated its 25th anniversary in business, it’s looking to grow its world-renowned team and support the production of Sony products and the Raspberry Pi.

Successful candidates will work across the entire organisation, including areas such as production engineering, software engineering, and mechanical and electrical engineering.

They’ll also play an integral role in driving future innovation at the factory, developing new manufacturing processes and Industry 4.0 technologies.

This news comes as the facility recently manufactured its six millionth product, which has been driven by success in both core and third-party operations.

Applications are now open, with the graduate scheme closing on November 5th. Skilled engineers must demonstrate relevant industry experience, and graduates need at least a 2.1 degree in any area.
