Three launches discovery space at Swansea store

Three, which is one of the UK’s largest mobile networks, has launched a Discovery space in Swansea.

It’s based at the firm’s Swansea store, located in the Quadrant shopping centre, and is the second to open since the launch of the concept in Maidenhead back in 2o14.

These spaces are aimed at letting people explore mobile technology and get the best from their devices – be it social media, photography or troubleshooting clinics.

Three has kitted out the space with state of the art technology, from the latest iPads to the latest Android phones. There’ll also be Apple TVs and Chromecasts on offer for film and TV buffs.

A range of free interactive sessions will run at the store for all customers, including local schools, community groups and businesses.

On March 16th, from 5-6pm, there’ll be a journalism workshop held by reporter Claire Reese, who has experience writing for the likes of the Western Mail, Vogue and BuzzFeed.

Then, on March 30th, from 5-6pm, there’ll be a blogging masterclass. And the following Wednesday, at the same time, older customers will be invited to learn about tech and how to keep up-to-date with it all.

Paula Cave, director of retail and indirect channels at Three, said:  “We’re really excited to be adding Swansea as the second area to our Discovery Programme.

“Whether you want to learn about how to get to grips with a new device, how to build your business online or need advice on how to start a blog, Three’s Discovery Programme has the answer and we couldn’t be prouder to have them as part of our offering.”
