Veeqo unveils expansion plans for 2017

Veeqo, an inventory management platform for retailers and online sellers, has unveiled expansion plans for 2017 after raising over a £1 million in seed funding.

The Swansea-based company, which has created a platform that helps retailers streamline their everyday operations, is to hire an additional 25 staff throughout the year.

These vacancies will cover areas such as engineering, sales, customer success and marketing, and they’ll be based in Swansea and London. The company currently employs over 30 people.

The firm believes that its biggest resource is its staff, and it’s looking to hear from people of all backgrounds and skills. It’s also encouraging applications from remote workers.

This news comes as Veeqo secured around £1.2 million in an investment campaign on crowdfunding website Seedrs. As well as hiring new stuff, it has plans to expand into new territories.

Matt Warren, CEO and founder of Veeqo, believes that 2017 is going to be the year that Veeqo dominates and expands. He’s confident that he’ll find new talent to help make this happen.

“2017 will be a year of accelerated growth for Veeqo. Following an extremely successful 2016, where we raised over £1.2m on the crowdfunding platform Seedrs, we’re now going to be expanding our team and making our software even more powerful,” he said.

“Our key resource at Veeqo is our people. Veeqo is built by people of all different backgrounds, with different skills, working at different locations all over the world.

“But the one thing we have in common is that we’re all dedicated to making Veeqo the best possible platform for ecommerce retailers to increase their sales and grow their business.”

The company, whose software manages retailers’ orders and inventory from across multiple channels and multiple countries, wants to be a flexible and fair employer.

“We’re looking for extraordinary people who want to be part of something huge. Some of these roles will be based either in our Swansea Head Office or in London,” Matt said.

“However, we are big supporters of remote working at Veeqo, and are looking for people from anywhere in the world to apply to be part of our team.”

Talking about his firm’s impact on the lucrative e-commerce industry, which is valued in the trillions, he said: “Veeqo is powering the biggest shift in retail history. E-commerce is undoubtedly the future of retail.

“In fact, figures on Black Friday sales performance in 2015 revealed that online sales overtook in-store for the first time ever. Our mission at Veeqo is to help online retailers grow their business by selling successfully on multiple channels.”
