Web development firm strengthens its team with new appointments

UpriseVSI, a web development and online booking firm based in Cardiff, has strengthened its team with two new appointments.

Jaimie Warburton has joined the company as a front-end developer, having recently completed an apprenticeship scheme and a diploma in interactive media.

Specialising mainly in user experience, Warburton has worked across a range of full-stack web development projects. He’s well-versed in front-end features, interactions, browser manipulation and cross-browser compatibility.

At UpriseVSI, he’ll support the team in developing new websites and applications as well as maintaining online booking and scheduling systems delivered under the ThinkBooker brand.

Meanwhile, Nick Shepherd has been appointed as a senior developer. A graduate in computer science from Swansea University, he’s spent more than ten years working in the technology industry.

Shepherd previously worked as a developer for a security software company in Swansea, where he built and maintained a leading monitoring solution.

His role will be to lead one of the UpriseVSI’s development teams – creating responsive web applications, websites and web services, along with online booking and scheduling systems.

An expert in API integration, Shepherd will also draw on his experience to integrate UpriseVSI services with third-party software such as CRM, finance and email systems.

Gareth Rees Jones, managing director of UpriseVSI, said the appointment of Jaimie and Nick will allow the business to cater for more clients and keep growing.

“The addition of Jaimie and Nick further strengthens our already robust web development capabilities.  As our client base continues to grow and we win more online booking and large, complex web development projects, it’s vital that we continue to enhance and expand our teams with the right people,” he commented.

“The skills that Jaimie and Nick bring to the business will allow us to deliver high-quality solutions and platforms for the clients that we work with. I look forward to the valuable contribution that both of them will bring to the business as we move forward.”
