Talkative secures investment to launch ambitious growth plans

Talkative, a communications technology company based in Newport, has secured an undisclosed amount of investment to expand across the globe.

This is the company’s second funding round. It was supported by Wesley Clover, the Development Bank of Wales, angel investors and the founding executive team.

The firm will use the recently acquired funds to expand its range of products, accelerate customer acquisition, enable channel partnerships, and hire for positions across sales, marketing and engineering.

Founded in 2015 by Felix Winstone, it’s on a mission to combine human interaction with digital acquisition. Its platform brings together inbound phone calls and websites.

According to Talkative, this makes things easier for consumers while providing agents with more control and marketing professionals with more data. The product has been deployed across industries such as travel, automotive, retail and financial services.

Winstone is confident that his company can expand in international markets and develop a team to make this possible. “We’re pleased to raise this additional funding, which allows us to accelerate our growth in this global market,” he said.

“We’re bringing more talented people into the team who are aligned with our mission and are helping us to better service our growing client base. We’ve got some exciting plans for 2018/19 as we scale up our operations.”
